Oncology Massage

Tealight candles with words, I'm Trained in Oncology MassageSkilled massage therapy can help with pain, nausea, anxiety, depression, and fatigue.

I’ve taken advanced training about working with clients who are in cancer treatment, or have a history of cancer.

This special training means that there are many ways we can adapt your session so that you can receive a massage. Everyone’s situation is different, but you may be able to use massage therapy to help you deal with the side effects & emotional stress of cancer.

Also, just to let you know, I’m a melanoma survivor. I’m not claiming to know exactly how you feel, but I can understand some of the effects this has on your life.

And I want people who are dealing with cancer to know that massage therapy can still be an option for you.

Woman having a relaxing massage to her head and face. There are adjustments that we need to make (such as technique and pressure), and there are some additional questions to discuss about your health.

Because of those adjustments, Oncology Massage is safe and beneficial. It can help you feel better during your season of treatment, and after. Studies suggest that massage can help you with pain, nausea, anxiety, fatigue, and depression… which are some of the most commonly-reported side effects that oncology patients experience.

Stack of four massage stonesHot Stone Massage

Hot stone massages are really popular at luxury resort spas, but you can enjoy the same treatment right here.

Also, if you find that using heat is helpful to soothe your sore aching muscles, you would like hot stones.

It’s similar to a Swedish massage, but the pressure from the stones can be deeply therapeutic or gentle…whatever is best for you.

Aromatherapy Massage

You deserve safer products to be used on your skin, so this service offers organic essential oils.

Enjoy the emotional benefits of the wonderful scents, and it’s possible that the oils may have health benefits too.

Custom aromatherapy oil blends are available if you request them in advance.

Note: essential oils, other than lavender or tea tree, are diluted in a carrier oil before I will apply them to a client.

And essential oils should not be used in place of a doctor’s care or necessary medical treatment. Besides, I won’t claim that they cure or prevent any condition or disease.
