Client face down having a back massage

Generally, Swedish massage is focused on relaxation and pain relief. If you haven’t had a professional massage before, I would suggest Swedish massage as a good introduction for you.

Who can it help:

Recommended for…

  • anyone who hasn’t tried massage therapy before
  • gift certificate giving, when you’re not sure whether the giftee has tried massages
  • If you just want to relax
  • If you are nervous about trying massage therapy, or if you aren’t sure whether you will like it, Swedish is a good place to start.

What is it:

A relaxing, flowing massage technique that can be gentle pressure, or more firm if you prefer.

We generally will work on your scalp, face, neck, shoulders, arms, legs, feet, and back. Of course, if you have any areas of concern, we can spend more time on them and less of the time on other areas.

If you have areas that you don’t want massaged, we can leave those out (for example, some ticklish clients don’t want me to work on their feet. This is 100% OK, and you are in control of what parts of your body get massaged… even if you change your mind. Don’t let any massage therapist tell you different.)

When can it help:

Many clients find that a monthly massage is a good schedule for them.

Remember, you probably did not get this soreness or tension in one day, and one massage is probably not going to “fix” your issues permanently. I’m not going to claim that I can “fix” you. Massages are an awesome part of your overall wellness plans.

Your massage can also be a treat that you can look forward to on the calendar!

I’m not going to pressure you to sign up for a membership, but if you wish to purchase a series or package of sessions, you will receive a discount (and can book your preferred time slot.) Ask me for the details.

Why would you book it:

Swedish massage is a great way to relax,

  • Get away,
  • Deal with your stress & tension,
  • And give yourself (or someone else) a treat that is good for your health!
